Letter to Sekuru Bhegi from Muzukuru Nhamoyakada
Dear Sekuru Bhegi.
How are you my uncle? It has been a long time since you
visited us here in the village, grandmother says it’s probably because you have
been busy. I will try and make this letter as short as possible so that I don’t
take up too much of your time.
Sekuru, I haven’t been going to school since the beginning
of the term, I think maybe you forgot to send the money so I thought it best to
remind you. The new Headmaster Mr Musorowembudzi said I can’t continue to
attend lessons until I pay the fees in full. If it is not too much trouble may
you please pay my school fees so that I can go back to school? During the
holidays I had tried to raise my own school fees by selling guavas at the
shopping centre but the little money I made we had to use when Grandmother fell
ill while you were in Thailand on holiday.
Mind my manners Sekuru, thank you very much for all the fees
payments that you have made in the past. Please do not tire now, we are closer
now to the end of my secondary education than we are to the beginning, so
please do not tire. Please finish the good work that you started.
I know that I am only an average student but I think my
future will better if I at least complete my O Levels. I promise I will attain
at least 5 O levels, Besides Sekuru if I am not educated, I will continue to be
a financial burden to you and I would hate to do that.
Grandmother is well, she has recovered very well. Please
don’t not tell her about this letter, because she made me promise not to bother
you. According to her you are aware of your obligations and when you are ready
you will pay.
Thank you very much in advance Sekuru, God bless you.
