Never Again Part 2

Karma is a woman. You see, she heard me tell you that you would never hurt me again  and she decided that my resolution was not enough. My decision to punish you by never making myself your option was too subtle and polite. My proposed punishment did not do justice to the crime committed and so she took matters into her own hands.

Fast forward to 25 years’ time, your beautiful daughter at aged 23 is crying herself to sleep, failing to concentrate in school, losing pounds by the day and looking like she has been hit by a locomotive. Baby girl is walking around like the lost zombie.

You know what happened, her little beau, the charming young man who has been dating her for two years now recently cheated on her.

Romeo didn’t just cheat, oh now, that would have been forgivable. Romeo sucked her self-confidence right from her very marrow, left her thinking she is ugly, worthless and unlovable.

Romeo’s actions made her the laughing stock. “She thought she had it good, talking about how they were going to get married in the church and have cute little babies, look at her now”.

Romeo’s hurt has made her question her very existence. “Nothing is worth living for”

You have tried everything but the response is still the same “Dad, your just saying that because you love me and are trying to make me feel better”.

You feel helpless, as a father one of your responsibilities is to protect your daughter and yet you have failed to protect her from Romeo.

You want to shoot him, kick him or maybe crucify him on a pole that reads “My name is Stupid Inconsiderate Fool”.

That’s when you hear it, Karma’s loud sarcastic laugh.

You look up and she is staring right at you

You: What are you looking at?

Karma: You feel like killing Romeo, don’t you?

You: of course I do, can’t you see what he has done to my little princess?

Karma: Stupid Inconsiderate Fool

You: That’s exactly what he is

Karma: I ain’t talking about Romeo. You see my name is Karma and many have called me a b****. Your little princess today was your girlfriend yesterday.  Trying to be the caring dad today? Have you forgotten that you were a Stupid Inconsiderate Fool just yesterday? Oh, my bad she wasn’t you daughter or your sister was she, she was just girl who you thought looked good on your arm. Well that girl was someone else’s daughter, someone’s sister too and you walked all over her like she was desert sand. Now that young lady is your little girl.

You don’t get to play roulette with other people’s feelings and think that I won’t pay attention. My name is Karma and I am  a B****
