Please register to vote and then VOTE.

I am a proud and frustrated Zimbabwean who is in a love hate relationship with her nationality. This is my message to you.

All those conversations that you are having in with family and friends in your houses, in your cafeterias, in the bar and in your head about how our beautiful nation should be will amount to absolutely nothing if you do not register to vote and actually cast a vote.

Please VOTE, it is none of my business who you vote for but you owe it to yourself and this nation to express yourself through the only weapon we have and that is the VOTE.

If we were at war I would say pick up a gun and fight for what you want but we are an independent and democratic nation where decision about governance are made in a ballot box. Do not allow voter apathy to win elections. Don’t sit back in your houses and be content with whatever result because “ my single vote would not have made a difference”, a million of you reciting the same tired voter apathy rhetoric would have made a difference. Exercise your democratic right to vote and VOTE.

Vote for the Zimbabwe that you want …  Vote.

Don’t roll your eyes at me and tell me about allegations of vote manipulation aka rigging. That is beyond your control (if it is within your control then do something about it) if not then what is within your control is your VOTE, cast it.

Please register to vote and VOTE.
